Syracuse-Louisville Post Mortem - I Think I MIGHT Have Had a Problem With the Officials

I thought it might be enjoyable to break down the insanity of my Twitter feed during last night's Big East Championship game between Syracuse and Louisville. I've always detested Louisville and I unabashedly view the world through Orange-colored glasses, and I think that my Twitter feed during Syracuse's epic second half meltdown bear that fact out. Even though 'Cuse played terribly (there are CYO teams full of five year-olds who shoot better at the free throw line), I still stick to my assertion that Louisville's brand of basketball is laughably bogus and that if the referees last night had any integrity they would have called the myriad reach-ins, hip-checks, and general mugging that was being done by Rick Pitino's vaunted full court press.

At least Georgetown still sucks, right?

I will note with some ironic hilarity that I wrote that "I never cry" about the refs near the end of the night, even though I'd spent pretty much an entire hour and a half doing just that. Sports "fan" isn't short for "fanatic" for nothing, you know. Oh well, onto the NCAA tournament and go Orange, etc.

BONUS! At least Everton beat Man City earlier. Check out this screaming first half goal from Leon Osman!
